5K Pumpkin Run & Munchkin Mile

MALONE -- University of Vermont Health Network–Alice Hyde Medical Center will host a fall-themed 5K, as well as a one-mile run/walk event meant for younger children, on Sat., Sept. 27 at the Malone Rec Park. The 5K Pumpkin Run & Munchkin Mile will celebrate fitness for all ages and abilities while supporting the hospital’s focus on workforce development in healthcare. There will be more than $2,000 in prizes for 5K participants. The non-competitive event also features pumpkin decorating for kids and a bake sale. Munchkin Mile (kids 10 and under) – 1-mile route within Rec Park. Begins at 10 a.m. Each participant receives a pumpkin bag and goodies. 5K Pumpkin Run – Scenic trails around Rec Park. Begins at 10:30 a.m. Participants of the 5K are eligible for prizes, including a season pass to Titus Mountain, cash and more. Adult registration is $25 and children, $10. Registration is required and can be completed online at www.uvmhealth.org/PumpkinRun. Race-day registration (online or on-site) is $30 adults, $15 children; check–in opens at 9 a.m. at Malone Rec Park.
