STAR LAKE -- On Friday, May 22, Brownie Girl Scout Emmalyn Silsby from Troop 50156 in Star Lake brought cookie donations that her troop gathered for foster care families in St Lawrence County.
The Troop met in January to brainstorm where their donations should go this year. While there were many good choices, the girls voted to donate to the families in our county that provide foster care. They were able to sell more than 50 boxes to donate before being shut down by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Until now, advertising has provided the income to pay our news staff. But with a cutback in advertising due to the COVID-19 crisis, our ability to continue free news coverage is threatened. Please donate to NorthCountryNow.com and North Country This Week so we can keep St. Lawrence County informed. Thank you.
