MASSENA – In light of the upcoming Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day weekend Americans Supporting Armed Services is reaching out to give thanks to veterans past and present who have served our country.
In addition, President of Americans Supporting Armed Services Tamie Sauve and board members Paula Murphy, Jessica Mattison, and Linda Rhodes are giving special thanks to three local organizations here in St. Lawrence County.
Sauve says the American Legion Post 79, American Legion Riders and Amvets Post 4 in Massena, have gone above and beyond to help their organization prosper and achieve their mission over the last year.
“We will continue to work with these wonderful men and women again throughout the summer to raise awareness and create funding to give back to veterans in our community. We are proud to have been chosen for the American Legion Riders July 9 motorcycle run to help our organization bring awareness to Burn Pit Exposure which is affecting veterans across the country,” noted Suave.
The Posts thank everyone pictured above and give thanks also to Fred Cockyane and Ben Gladding from Amvets Post 4 for advocating for our cause and extended efforts in fundraising.
