CANTON — An officer at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility has made over 100 masks for inmates and officers at the jail.
Jaidan Lafountain has spent hours and hours making cloth face masks, according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff Brooks Bigwarfe.
“In a time of many uncertainties we’d like to take a minute to share some positive news from the correctional facility by recognizing Office Lafountain,” he said.
She made over 100 masks, with about half being provided to inmates and half to officers at the jail.
“Her hard work and dedication is a pure example of what our communities need on a daily basis. We thank her for her commitment and are fortunate to have her on our team,” the sheriff said.
