Snow, freezing rain that is hitting parts of state to miss St. Lawrence County; temps warming through Wednesday

Snow and freezing rain will miss the St. Lawrence Valley as it hits other parts of the state and nearby Vermont, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

There is a slight chance of snow before 1 p.m. today with a high near 27, the service says. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 16.

Tuesday will be a bit warmer with a high near 31 and mostly sunny skies, forecasters predict. There is a chance of snow overnight Tuesday with a low around 21.

Temps continue to rise into Wednesday with highs topping out at 36, NWS says.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 31. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night

A 30 percent chance of snow showers after 4am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 21. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph after midnight. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Wednesday

A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
