Showers, thunderstorms possible today in St. Lawrence County

Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms early this morning will give way to partly sunny skies with another chance of a brief shower with the passage of a weak cold front later this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasters expect a high today around 74 and an overnight low around 50.

The clouds hang tough until late Thursday, NWS says. Mostly clear with patchy fog Thursday night and sunny Friday with clouds advancing late.

As of now, there is a chance of showers Saturday but things are expected to dry out on Sunday, the service says.

Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 66. Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 43. East wind around 6 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 71. East wind 5 to 8 mph.

Showers likely, mainly after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. South wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Saturday

Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. Southwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
