Rep. Walczyk to host 'Bonfire Session' Tuesday in Lisbon

North Country Assemblyman Mark Walczyk (R-Watertown) will host “Bonfire Sessions” listening events as an informal way to discuss issues important to local residents.

The St. Lawrence County Bonfire Session will be held Tuesday, October 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lisbon Beach, 9975 State Highway 37 in Lisbon. Should there be inclement weather, gather under the covered pavilion near the beach.

“I think that government can get a little too formal with podiums, starched suites, that sort of thing. And, quite frankly, I think that can discourage some folks from participating in their representative democracy,” said Assemblyman Mark Walczyk. “This isn’t your normal ‘town hall’ style of event. The ‘Bonfire Sessions’ are meant to be informal, laid back and give residents the opportunity to sit around a campfire and talk about the issues that matter to them.”

Light refreshments will be provided. If you have any questions, contact Assemblyman Walczyk’s offices in Watertown at 315-786-0284 or Canton 315-386-2037.
