POTSDAM — Beef cows, Icelandic sheep, chickens, goats, rabbits and horses are among the many animals seen at a tour of the Laing Family Farm, Potsdam Sept. 9.

The certified organic farm was among many farms offering tours during the Local Foods Weekend Sept. 8-10, organized by Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Owners Scott and Traci Laing recently converted from a dairy farm to a farm selling beef, eggs, maple syrup, wool, and produce.

They also added tow Airbnb cabins to give visitors an opportunity to experience rural life on a farm.

The Laing Family Farm, a certified organic farm located at 772 Co. Rte. 35, Potsdam, sells beef, eggs, maple syrup, honey, soap, candles, and wool fleeces.
