OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Salvation Army is again offering a Christmas Program with their Toys for Tots and Christmas food baskets. The program serves Ogdensburg, Lisbon, Heuvelton and Morristown residents in need. Last year 85 families were served.
The Salvation Army partners with Toys for Tots in giving three or more toys per child up to age 18. Food packages are also given to eligible adults, including seniors.
Applications for the program are at the Salvation Army office, 401 Franklin St., Ogdensburg.
The remaining dates and times for applying are Nov. 12 from 4-6 p.m., Nov. 13 from 10 a.m.-12 noon, and Nov. 14 from 1-3 p.m.
Applicants must provide picture ID for head of household, proof of ID for all adults, proof of birth for all children (i.e.-birth certificates, custody letter, etc.), proof of address (utility bill, rent receipt, lease, etc.), proof of all income (i.e.- wages, SS, SSI/SSD, unemployment, public assistance, SNAP, etc); and proof of all expenses (rent receipt, utility bill, phone bill, etc.).
Distribution for food and toys will be Dec. 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Donations may be mailed to the Salvation Army address given above, with a note it is to go toward the Christmas program.
