CANTON — An Ogdensburg man was found guilty after a jury trial for assault in the second degree, according to District Attorney Gary Pasqua.

Allen Fisher, 54, was found guilty on Sept. 3 and was remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail pending sentencing. He faces a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.

The conviction arose from an incident that occurred in the early morning of Oct. 20, 2019.

The defendant entered an Ogdensburg residence and caused serious injury to an individual in the home.

“This verdict sends an important message to those who believe they can commit violent crimes in our communities. These acts and this type of behavior will not be tolerated by the citizens of St. Lawrence County,” District Attorney Pasqua said.
