MASSENA — Members of the Norwood Model Railroad Club recently visited the home of member Jim Shaw in Massena to check out his HO display.
The setup has over thirty feet of track that wraps around along the walls of his train room.
Jim and his wife Becky especially enjoy modeling structures and the layout features over 50, many scratch built.
Visiting home layouts is a regular activity of the club.
That said, many members do not have a home layout but enjoy attending train shows throughout the Northeast and assisting with modules on the layout in the “clubhouse.”
Fall is considered “Train Show Season” with the Club’s Annual Model Train, Toy, and Collectables Expo in the Massena Arena Sept. 23 -24.
Other upcoming shows include the Thousand Islands Train Fair in Clayton on Sept. 9-10, and the Great New York State Model Train Fair in November.
