NORTH LAWRENCE -- North Lawrence Vol. Fire Dept. has been awarded a grant for 10 new sets of turnout gear from the Gary Sinise Foundation.
Sinise is a Hollywood actor known for playing Lt. Dan in the 1994 film “Forrest Gump” and the 1995 movie “Apollo 13” as Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly.
His foundation helps veterans, first responders, their families and those in need.
