POTSDAM -- St. Lawrence County residents can apply for two scholarships that were created by a Potsdam family.
“The Brown Scholarship Award Committee has added two more scholarships and we would like your help letting all St. Lawrence County seniors know that its available to them,” said PCS alumni Dallas Brown.
Two seniors will each receive a $250 scholarship.
The deadline to apply is May 20. Apply at https://forms.gle/jsEkZRqcz6afDTwN9
Donations are also being accepted.
“These donations will be used to add more scholarships to the community because there are hundreds that could potentially apply,” Brown said. “We want to help as many students as possible.”

Dallas is currently stationed in Arizona with the Army, but his family still resides in Potsdam.
“We originally created the Brown Scholarship Award to give back to the Potsdam Central School District, he said. “That was mainly due to the fact that we all grew up and attended classes there. We now expanded the award to all of St. Lawrence County because we know how hard COVID-19 has been in families and we want to do something to help seniors from the county.”
