CHIPPEWA BAY — The Chippewa Bay Community Club is again sponsoring a Friday Evening Backyard Summer Concert Series that starts July 7 with a performance by Chippewa Breeze from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Series concerts will be held in the month of July from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Club's backyard at 1172 County Route 6, next to the Post Office. Concerts are free and open to the public. Just bring a lawn chair.
The following performances are planned:
• July 7 - Chippewa Breeze, a local band from Chippewa Bay, plays a combination of favorite tunes from pop, rock and some self-composed music as well.
• July 14 — Michael Wills Quintets. This five-member local group will entertain the audience with some wonderful jazz music that has gained them a reputation around the North Country.
• July 21 — Hot Kogan, a local rock group appears for the first time at the CBCC concert series and will bring along some amazing musicians that play a wide range of audience-pleasing tunes.
• July 28 — Tough Luck is a four-member band from Carthage led by David Scanlin. They play rock ‘n’ roll from the 1950's and 1960's and have been entertaining Northern New York venues since 1983.
This concert series is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council.
