CANTON – Canton Village Trustee Klaus Proemm is stepping down from the village board.
In a letter of resignation, dated Monday, Nov. 20 to Mayor Michael Dalton, Proemm cited personal reasons for his resignation, effective Nov. 30.
Proemm, a Democrat, began his service to the Village of Canton by serving on the Planning Board beginning in December of 2014. He was subsequently appointed to fill a vacant Trustee seat on Oct. 16, 2017. Proemm had two years remaining in his current term as village trustee.
“The Village Board would like to thank Trustee Proemm for his service to the community,” said Dalton. "It has been my pleasure to serve the Village of Canton with him. He will be missed."
