Edkins sweeps diving events to lead Saints at Don Richards Invitational

Matthew Edkins made it a clean sweep, winning the 1-meter diving event on Saturday after claiming the 3-meter title yesterday to lead the St. Lawrence University men's swimming and diving team at the Don Richards Invitational on Saturday.

Edkins won the 1-meter event with a score of 464.50 points, beating the field by more than 87 points. The four-time All-American also swept both diving events at the Don Richards Invitational in 2017.

St. Lawrence finished in fifth place in the six-team invitational, scoring 253 points. RIT won the meet with 1,104.5 points.

Isaac Brinkman led the St. Lawrence swimmers, finishing third in the 200-yard freestlye and fourth in the 200 butterfly.
