In response to “Where Does Church Stand on LGBTQIA” which ran in the Dec. 13-19 issue of North Country This Week: The Dec 13 letter from the pastor of the UU church in Canton, wondering about the stance of another denomination, seemed to me to be based on some alternative or possibly edited gospel. It certainly does not sound like the King James version that I am familiar with.
I confess that, I too am a sinner that falls short of the glory of God. While I am certainly no biblical scholar, I do consider my self a believer in the word of God. God’s stance on your concerns about lifestyle seems pretty clear to me.
While God commands us to love one another, I interpret that as meaning individuals, not always everything they may do.
That belief comes from the following scripture verses: Hebrews 13: 1-4; Romans 1:26-28; 1Timothy:18-11; 1Corinthians 6:9-11;Leviticus18:22; and Leviticus 20:13.
So I guess I wonder, “Is my Bible Wrong“?
