As participants in the 48th annual Autumn Festival at the Norwood Village Green on Sept. 21, volunteers from The Community Lunch Program for Kids had a table providing free make-your-own sundaes, and free cotton candy.
We had a donation box on our table, with a label that all donations would be forwarded to an organization supporting victims of Hurricane Dorian.
We would like to let everyone know that a donation in the amount of $160 has been made to The Grand Bahama Disaster Relief Fund, thanks to the generosity of folks who passed by our table that day.
CLPK is a volunteer organization supporting our youth from NNCS facing food insecurity during school vacations, but this is evidence that we are part of a community that also provides support to folks in need outside our local area.
