OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce named Madison Parker as its May BOCES Student of the Month.

Parker is a senior from Lisbon Central School who is in the health careers program at Northwest Tech BOCES in Ogdensburg.

Amber Farrand, health careers instructor at Northwest Tech BOCES had this to say about her, “Madison is a senior in my health careers class. Not only has she overcome the obstacles of COVID but she has adapted well to a new teacher coming in. She has a positive attitude and is eager to learn. In clinical, she demonstrated leadership skills and was always willing to help out in any way she could. I know I can always count on Madison if need be and she will be successful in any career path she pursues.”

Upon completion at BOCES, Parker plans on attending SUNY Canton for the four-year registered nurse program.

She received a $25 check from Jones Insurance Agency, a Certificate of Achievement from BOCES and a plaque from the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
