Alzheimer’s talk

POTSDAM: St. Lawrence Health System’s Wise Community, Wise Choices luncheon series, 11:30 a.m., Canton-Potsdam Hospital, 50 Leroy St., conference rooms A and B; speaker will be Associate Program Director Richard Couch of the Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter, will speak on the “Ten Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s;” light lunch served in conference rooms A and B from 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m., lecture from 12-1 p.m.; no charge, but RSVPs required no later than Nov. 5; contact Community Relations Manager Deborah Chase-Lauther at 315-261-5413 or dchaselauther@cphospital.org.

Online health resources

POTSDAM: Free class for seniors ages 60 and older to learn more about “Money Matters, Online Health Resources”; Potsdam Public Library; two classes offered: one class at 10 a.m. and a second class at 11:30 a.m; to register, contact ssachs@potsdamlibrary.org or call 315-265-7230; part of “Explore Tech Lecture Series” led by Michael from Senior Planet North Country.

Food pantry

HOPKINTON: Hopkinton Food Pantry at the Hopkinton Town Hall open between 10 and 11:30 a.m.; bring own containers for food and clothing; this month, we will distribute turkeys and winter wear; call 315-328-4168 or Mary 315-328-4681; Potsdam Holiday Fund applications available at the pantry or Georgia Macy’s house, call 315-328-4168.
