Meet the Candidates Night
WADDINGTON: LaVigne's IGA of Waddington and The Tiernan Family invite the public to a Meet the Candidates Night, 5:30 p.m., Tiernan Pavilion, Waterloo Road; admission is $25 and food and drinks will be provided; all welcome; attendees will have a chance to meet candidates from all walks of life regardless of political party, and see why they seek to be elected as a local, county or state representative; proceeds from the event will support the Waddington Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad; entertainment will be provided by "The Bipartisan Band" featuring Josh Barkley and Don Gruneisen.
Meals on Wheels fundraiser
MASSENA: Meals on Wheels annual spaghetti dinner; 4:30-6:30 p.m; 70 East Hatfield Rd; eat in dining room or takeout; 4:30-6:30 p.m; for faster takeout service call 315-769-5083; spaghetti by Vino Vidi Vici restaurant; also includes salad, bread, homemade dessert; $8 per person or $30 immediate family of 4+; benefits Meals on Wheels program for meals delivered to elderly, sick or disabled in greater Massena area.
Games/movie night
MASSENA: Free games and activities 5-7:00 p.m. at Alcoa Field, followed by Aladdin’ movie under the stars for final outdoor movie of season; bring blanket or chair; free popcorn, hot dogs, sno-cones; hosted by Massena Drug Free Community Coalition, Seaway Valley Prevention Council and Massena Police Dept.; “Aladdin” under the stars.
IDA to meet
CANTON: St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency is scheduled to meet, 9 a.m., Ernest J. LaBaff Industrial Building, 19 Commerce Lane, meetings of the St. Lawrence County IDA-Local Development Corporation, St. Lawrence County IDA – Civic Development Corporation and St. Lawrence County Property Development Corporation will immediately follow; open to the public.
