B.A.S.S. tournament
OGDENSBURG: NYS B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation Tournament, part of Bootlegger's Weekend sponsored by Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce; Dobisky Visitor's Center, 100 Riverside Dr.; boats will launch at 4 a.m. on Sunday and return after 1 p.m. for weigh-ins; tournament will finish with six place winners on Sunday, Aug. 1.
Canoe, kayak run
NEWTON FALLS: Newton Falls Sport and Recreation Club will host a canoe and kayak run on the Oswegatchie River; registration will be from 9 a.m.-noon and costs $10 per person; begins at Gate 11, River Road (from Cranberry Lake take a right off Route 3 onto Tooley Pond road, and then left onto River Road, Gate 11 is on the left about a mile down); run ends at Newton Falls Beach.
Walk With a Doc
OGDENSBURG: Next St. Lawrence County Public Health “Walk with a Doc” event, 10 a.m., on the Abbe Picquet Trail at the Fort de la Presentation site; Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center psychiatrist Dhruv Modi, MD, will be joined by a variety of St. Lawrence County health care providers for the walk, which is open to everyone for a healthy walk and friendly conversation with the health care professionals who will provide support and answer questions during the walk; participation is free and pre-registration is not required; in case of inclement weather, the walk will take place inside the Ogdensburg High School; Brigette Sanderson at 315-229-3404, or go to https://walkwithadoc.org/our-locations/stlawco/; more info on St. Lawrence County Public Health's Facebook page @SLCPublicHealth.

Ride begins 10 a.m. Registration includes meal at the Firemen's Field on return. Runs is from Norwood to Timber Tavern in Parishville, stop at High Peaks Winery in Winthrop. Bounty hole competition on return.
