Autism speaker

CANTON: Autism Ambassador Aaron Likens Returns to SUNY Canton's Richard W. Miller Campus Center's Kingston Theater for a day of awareness-raising presentations. Likens was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when he was 20 years old, and authored "Finding Kansas," a book about living and finding peace with this form of autism. Likens will hold three free and open presentations at Noon, 3 and 6 p.m.; contact Greg Kie, kie@canton.edu or 315-386-7300.

Kid’s crafts

OGDENSBURG: Vacation week crafts for kids, free crafts and materials provided; 2-3 p.m.; Ogdensburg Public Library.

Daycamp ages 5-9

Free public skating

POTSDAM: Free public skating; Pine Street Arena; 1:45 p.m.-2:45 p.m; hockey skate rentals at $3 on first come, first serve basis; sponsored by Potsdam Elks Lodge.

AARP hosting lunch

POTSDAM: St. Lawrence County Chapter of AARP, Inc. hosting open-to-the-community luncheon, 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Town Hall Community Room, 18 Elm St.; speaker is Paula Youmell presenting Healthy You; RSVP to Kay at 315-265-3995 or nanapuppies51@gmail.com on or before Feb. 10; $12 (cash) menu includes white bean casserole with crouton topping, local sausage, winter salad, plus cookie and beverage catered by the Big Spoon; alternatively, you can bring your own bagged lunch or eat before you arrive.
