MADRID -- International enthusiasts of Allis Chalmers tractors and other heavy-duty equipment will convene at the Gathering of the Orange (GOTO2020) at the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum, 1755 State Route 345 on June 12-14.

GOTO2020 begins its program on Friday, June 12 and continues in conjunction with the Museum’s Annual Spring Exhibition on Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14.

The GOTO is held twice yearly, once in the eastern part of the U.S. or Canada and once in the West. The Museum made an application several years ago to bring this event to the region. Inquiries and reservations have already been received from several states and provinces.

A meet-and-greet and tractor parade around the countryside will kick-off the GOTO2020.

“The tractor parade and tractor pull are always a huge draw for members and visitors alike,” said museum trustee Roger Austin.

Members and exhibition visitors can join or watch the huge antique tractor pull.

The Museum will offer a chicken barbecue at noon on Saturday, June 13.

Everyone will be able to purchase new and used Allis Chalmers tractors, tractor parts, toys, and memorabilia from the many vendors during the event.

There are plenty of activities for families and attendees of all ages during the GOTO2020 and the Spring Exhibition.

The Museum’s printing equipment, sawmill, shingle mill, and log splitter will be running. Horse pull competitions will be held in the equine pavilion. Demonstrations of heritage textile methods will be held. The 1850 schoolhouse and 1835 log cabin will be open. Many antique horse-drawn vehicles can be seen in the great carriage barn. Pedal tractor events, chicks hatching, and animals in the barn will be available for youngsters. The shoe shop, gas station, farm house, and maple sugar house will welcome visitors.
