POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will welcome the SOLI Chamber Ensemble as artists-in-residence on Monday and Tuesday, April 16 and 17.
The San Antonio-based quartet (with clarinet, violin, cello and piano) will lead workshops with music business and arts administration students, conduct masterclasses for each member's respective instruments, and engage in a reading session of student-composed works.
The highlight of the SOLI Chamber Ensemble residency will be a concert on Tuesday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hosmer M. Hosmer Concert Hall.
The concert will feature works commissioned by SOLI, including "Catching Updrafts" by Crane associate dean Dr. David Heuser, as well as works by Jennifer Jolley and George Tsontakis.
Prior to the concert, the ensemble will hold an open rehearsal in Hosmer Hall from 5-6 p.m.
This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
