NORFOLK – The Norfolk Halloween Festival, scheduled for Oct. 3-6, will feature live music, fireworks, Halloween candy hunt, rummage sale, carnival games and more.
Things get started Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. with a spaghetti dinner downstairs at the Norfolk fire station. A festival king and queen will be named at 6:30 p.m. Dinners will cost $10.
A rummage sale will be held Friday at the Raymondville Methodist Church form 8 a.m.-3 p.m. A Halloween candy hunt will be held at 6 p.m., Sudden Impact will perform at Coach’s Tavern at 9 p.m. At dark, fireworks will be launched at the Raquette River golf course in Raymondville.
On Saturday, carnival games for kids, pumpkin painting, face painting and a vendor show will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the arena. Also at the arena, there will also be a petting zoo from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., a pie eating contest at 10 a.m., belly dancer performance at 10 a.m. and coffin races at 11 a.m.
The rummage sale at the Raymondville Methodist Church will continue from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. The day’s activities will also feature a parade at 1 p.m. with horse-drawn carriage rides to follow.
Coach’s Tavern will stage a corn hole tournament at 4 p.m. and a chicken wing contest at 7 on Saturday.
The festival continues Sunday with breakfast from 8-11 a.m. at the rescue squad building and an 11 a.m. pumpkin chuckin contest at Haggetts farm.
