CANTON -- The Professional Development Conference for language teachers will hold a day-long Foreign Language Teaching Conference on Friday, March 20 at St. Lawrence University.
Teachers from St. Lawrence County and the surrounding region are invited to attend. Registration is open until Friday, March 6.

The event’s keynote speaker will be Kathryn Inhelder, an educator and presenter with extensive knowledge of the French language and Second Language Education.
Her topic, “Culture, Collaboration, and Celebration,” will discuss how to create opportunities for student and teacher collaboration through culture and use tools like social media to celebrate with the local and global community.
This conference will explore topics such as comprehensible input, infusing content and culture in the World Language Classroom with images, bi-literacy, and promoting engagement in the foreign language classroom.
The conference is sponsored by St. Lawrence University, SUNY Potsdam, the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers (NYSAFLT), Foreign Languages of Northern New York Teachers (FLaYNNL), St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES, and St. Lawrence Valley Teachers’ Learning Center.
