CANTON — Canton Central School has cancelled many events that were to be held on school grounds due to COVID-19 concerns.
Canton Central School is working hard to balance the needs for preventative measures with the need to maintain normalcy for our children.
As a result, in reviewing our schedule for the next ten days, in consultation with our Medical Director, we are announcing postponements of non-essential events that would bring large numbers of community members onto campus.
The following school events are postponed:
• Winter Athletic Recognition Ceremony, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 12
• FFA Dinner, originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 17.
• All non-school sponsored events normally held at school, including Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Hoopsters, Jazzercise and Skirts-n-Flirts, will not be permitted to use the school campus effective today through Monday, March 23.
