MADRID -- St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum (SLPEM) is hosting the Children’s Harvest Festival and a museum open house Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with a variety historical activities that will appeal to "kids" of all ages.

From 10 a.m.-noon, children are invited to share some of the work – and fun – of 100 or more years ago, including threshing by hand, shelling corn, going to school, playing games, making cider, and sewing, among others. They may choose which activities to attend.

Buildings open throughout the day include the Carriage House, Schoolhouse, Collection Building, Tractor Barn, Heritage Fibers, and Log Cabin.

This event is co-presented by the St. Lawrence County Historical Association (SLCHA).

The SLPEM is located at 1755 State Highway 345 in Madrid.

For more information, contact the SLCHA at 315-386-8133 or info@slcha.org.
