COLTON – The Higley Association's Annual Round the Islands Canoe (Kayak/SUP) Race will be held Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Higley Flow/Brookfield Boat Launch Beach, located off Pine Rd.

The main race is approximately 4 miles in length with a 1 mile race for youth age 14 and younger.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the race commencing at 10 a.m.

All models of canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddleboats are invited to attend.

There is no age minimum or maximum.

All participants must sign a waiver to participate.

This is a family friendly event with a class for every model of boat.

There is a nominal entry fee of $10 per person for adults, $5 for youth.

Just for fun Slalom Pedal Boat races run at the conclusion of the canoe/kayak race.

Awards are presented to the first three finishers in each class.
