Hundreds of model train enthusiasts, collectors and members of the public are expected to attend the annual event organized by the Norwood Model Railroad Club.
A variety of train-related displays and demonstrations are planned.
There will be operating club layouts from New York and Canadian enthusiasts to view.
Vendors will be on hand to buy, sell and appraise new and used model trains, toys, coins, sports cards and collectibles.
A free railroad modeling clinic will be offered.
Weather permitting, there will be free miniature train rides offered by Kenny Friedel, of Potsdam, who operates a working Narrow Gauge Railroad at his home.
Refreshments will be sold to benefit the Massena Recreation Commission.
Admission is $5 for adults, and free for children 10 and younger.
The annual event is sponsored by the Norwood Model Railroad Club. The club is dedicated to the continuing education and promotion of the model railroading hobby. Based in Norwood, New York, the club owns a large modular layout that is featured in our club room and train shows. Individual members build their own modules to display as part of the layout. Many members also have home layouts.
The club meets once a month in Norwood and is always seeking new members.
