MASSENA -- SeaComm Federal Credit Union announces two internal promotions.

“We have an extremely dedicated talent pool at the Credit Union and we absolutely value the opportunity of promoting internally,” says Scott A. Wilson, President & Chief Executive Officer. “This affords us the ability, as we continue to grow, to move experienced key staff into positions of management within the organization. Each bring substantial knowledge in key functions of our business,” he adds.

Wendy Vatter of Brasher Falls has been promoted to the positon of Human Resources Manager. Wendy has been with SeaComm since 2013 and has served in the positions of Human Resources Specialist and Senior Human Resources Specialist. In her new role, Wendy will plan, direct, and coordinate the human resources functions of the organization. She holds an associate’s degree in business management from Mater Dei College. Prior to joining the credit union, Wendy was the Human Resources Manager at BonTon in Massena.

Amber Brooks of Massena is now the Staff Accountant for SeaComm’s Accounting department, based at the credit union’s headquarters. Amber has been with the credit union since 2013, and has served in the positions of Teller, Accounting Clerk, Accounting Specialist and Senior Accounting Specialist. Amber holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Potsdam and is presently taking courses online at Brandman University. In her new role, Amber will assist the Vice President of Accounting in the preparation of financial reports and ensure the timely completion of accounting records for the credit union.

SeaComm is a member owned financial cooperative based in Massena with over 48,000 members and assets of more than $625 million. The credit union has branches in Massena, Potsdam, Malone, Canton, Ogdensburg, Plattsburgh, and South Burlington. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, Essex Counties, New York and Grand Isle, Chittenden and Franklin Counties, Vermont.
