Mary Jane Mayette, 75, Waddington

WADDINGTON -- Mary Jane Mayette, age 75, passed away on Sunday March 17, 2024, at her family home surrounded by her loving family.

Friends and family are welcome to call the Phillips Memorial Home at 28 Clinton Street, Waddington for Mary Jane Mayette on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 10:00 am until funeral services at 1:00 pm with Mother Sonya Boyce.

Burial to follow immediately after the services in Brookside Cemetery in Waddington, NY.

Mary Jane was born to the late Charles and Gertrude (Wells) Vallance on December 31, 1948, in Massena, NY.

Mary Jane attend schools in Massena and Waddington.

She married her loving husband, Clifford “Junior” Mayette Sr., on September 7, 1968, in Madrid, NY.

Mary Jane enjoyed playing BINGO, cooking for her family and playing cards. She was the strength of the family and was loved by many. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Jane is survived by two sons and four daughters, Clifford Jr. Mayette of Waddington, NY, Duane Mayette of Waddington, NY, Laura Parmeter of Lisbon, NY, Charity and Scott Haverstock of Massena, NY, Jenny and Cory Kroeger of Lisbon, NY, Lisa Alberto of Ogdensburg, NY. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sisters; Virginia and Brian Thrasher of Lisbon, NY, Carol Sabre of West Potsdam, NY, a brother Percy Vallance of Waddington, NY along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Mayette in 2015, and her sisters; Ethel Caskinete and Kay Fetterly along with four brothers; Rex, Art, Bobby and Timothy Vallance.
