Eugene Carl Ford, 72, Madrid

MADRID -- Mr. Eugene Carl Ford, 72, of Madrid, NY,  died on Monday, December 18, 2023, at his winter home in Zephyrhills, FL.

Gene was born on March 26, 1951, to Carl Orris Ford and Dorothy (MacDonald) Ford of Madrid, NY.

Gene graduated from Madrid-Waddington High School in 1969.

He served our country in the US Air Force from the years of 1971 to 1978.

He married Linda (Boyea) Ford in 1981.

Gene was a USPS Postal worker in Potsdam, NY for 25+ years.

Gene was an avid sportsman, hunter, and proud veteran.

He enjoyed many sports including hockey, bowling, softball, and golf.

Mostly, he loved his family and friends. He offered many stories with great laughter and a big smile.

Survivors include wife, Linda Ford; daughter, Emily (Tony) DiNardo, son, Zachary (Tiffany) Ford; grandchildren, Allison and Michael DiNardo and Levi Clark; brother, Vernon (Dee) Ford; nephews, Carl (Crystal) Ford and Todd (Aubrey) Ford.

A memorial and burial will be held in the Spring of 2024.
