Edwina M. Dale, 94, Massena

MASSENA -- Edwina M. Dale, age 94 of Chandler, AZ and formerly of Massena, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2023, at The Gardens at Ocotillo Nursing Home.

There will be no calling hours. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Massena in the spring.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.

Edwina was born on August 11, 1929, in Massena, the daughter of Napoleon and Corine (Rouselle) Carriere.

After high school graduation, she married Robert E. Frace on August 3, 1953, he predeceased her on July 28, 1959.

She later married Robert Dale on October 30, 1970. He predeceased her on March 25, 2004.

Edwina was employed as a Systems Assistant working at Kodak.

Edwina is survived by a sister, Arlene Ouimet, of North Hampton, NH, and a niece, Cynthia Hammersley of Chandler, AZ.

During her retirement years, Edwina shared her computer expertise freely with her retirement community. She taught classes for many years at the Far Horizons community in Tucson AZ and was always available to help other seniors adapt to the computer age.

Edwina was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and made many contributions over the years to Catholic charities.

Edwina was also known for her enthusiastic patriotism and support for veterans' causes. She has requested any memorial contributions be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
