Family and friends may be received on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, located at 64 Andrews Street in Massena.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23 at the Massena VFW at 2:00 pm, where we will be wearing flannel in honor of our beloved Dylan.

Born October 1, 1999 in Potsdam to Todd and Jo-Ann Mullin, he attended and graduated from Massena Central High School and BOCES, achieving a welding Certificate in 2018.

While in high school, Dylan played Varsity Lacrosse for the Massena Red Raiders alongside his brother Dalton. In his younger years, he thrived playing for the Akwesasne Attack, assisting the team in their chase for a National Championship title.

Dylan was best known for his beautiful dimples, kind heart, and for always being a gentleman. He loved hard and played even harder.

Dylan was a true friend to many and was sure to always be there for others. He had a love for the river and music.

Dylan found solitude in being outdoors. Fishing and boating on the Racquette River, he found peace in spending quality time with his friends and family on the water and at their island of tranquility.

Dylan was a steadfast beacon who knew how to navigate that river regardless of the time, day, or year. He knew those waterways like the back of his hand.

Dylan possessed a gift for writing songs and poems accompanied by a soulful singing voice that touched the hearts of those who listened.

He may have had a young heart but was considered an “Old Soul” to the many lives he touched.

Besides being survived by his parents, Dylan is also survived by his brother, Dalton, sister in law, Jennifer and their daughters: Annabelle, Bradleigh, and Everlyn of Haslet, TX. Dylan loved his three nieces and they adored and cherished their “Uncle Dilly Dilly.” He is also survived by his Uncle Matthew and his wife, Sarah Prettyman, of Chandler, AZ, Uncle and Aunt, Sean and Sophia Mullin of Cornwall, Ont. along with his Grandmother Linda Beaudin of Cornwall, Ont. his Grandparents, Bernice and Daniel McCarthy of Laughlin, NV. Dylan’s Cousins: Pacey, Tyler, Andy, Wyatt, and Hanna. Dylan was also blessed to have many close and supportive friends throughout his life that played an integral role.

Dylan was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Michael Mullin, his maternal grandfather, Edgar Hebert (Papa Coco), and his paternal step-grandfather, Noah Beaudin.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be shared with American Foundation for Suicide Prevention at www.afsp.org.
