  • The Massena Joint Recreation Commission is seeking qualified applicants for the title of Seasonal Therapeutic Recreation Program Director. The position will be for up to 25 hours a week for the duration of the six-week program starting June 27, 2024 and ending August 9, 2024. The Therapeutic Recreation Program Director would have the opportunity to join the NYS Retirement System. Duties of the position: The Therapeutic Program Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operations for a quality summer therapeutic program. The Program Director supervises and trains staff members while ensuring adherence to all Massena Recreation policies and procedures. The successful candidate must have a proven ability to supervise employees, organize and schedule work assignments. The successful candidate must possess effective listening and communication skills with both children and adults. Basic Microsoft Office experience is also preferred. A college degree is also required.
