RICHVILLE -- Robert H. Rich, 92, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Funeral services will be private and arrangements are with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
Robert was born in Vincent, Alabama on January 6, 1932, the son of Robert Henry Stone and Katie Rich.
After high school, he joined the United States Navy and served from 1951 to 1954.
Robert worked for AT&T for many years as an engineer and as a consultant, working all over the world building communications systems.
He enjoyed using his ham radios, bluegrass music, sharing stories of his life with his family and had been a member of the American Legion.
Robert lived most of his life in Alabama when not traveling the world in the service or employment, more recently moving to the north country.
He is survived by his son, Julian and Ashley (Reynolds) Rich of Richville, his daughters, Shelly and Linda; his sisters, Glenda and Dale, both of Alabama; grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
