North Country Folk Fest to be held in Canton

CANTON — The North Country Folk Fest, a celebration of the music, food, small businesses, and community of the North Country, will be held Friday, April 26 on the old Java quad.

The event is organized by The Greenhouse of St. Lawrence University.

Local farms and small businesses will be vending at the event alongside over 20 student vendors.

Music includes student bands from St. Lawrence U as well as local folk bands who represent the North country from Akwesasne to Adirondack.

Exciting local performers include Dan Berggren, The Goddard Girls, Lone Wolf and the Spaghetti Corner Band, Boyden Brook band, and Richard Hayes Phillips.

Folk Fest is also especially excited to feature Black Opry and Driftwood this year.

The event is family-friendly.
