POTSDAM — When North Country Crusaders are co-sponsoring a 24-7 Little Free Pantry with the Potsdam First Presbyterian Church for those in need.

The Crusaders went right to work, holding an online fundraiser to start filling those shelves. The pantry now also has a small refrigerator.

“The Little Free Pantry is meant to supplement other community food pantries, especially during the times that community food pantries are closed,” said Jeannie Blake, director of the North Country Crusaders.

This pantry is not only at all times, but will also offer other items such as toiletries, bedding, and clothing.

“This is phase one of the North Country Crusader's plan to assist with providing basic needs in the community,” she said. “They have future plans to raise funds to open a Transitional Living Center for the homeless, with wrap around services.

This Center would reportedly serve St. Lawrence Country residents, and any others from the surrounding counties that may need assistance.
