Lucretia M. "Pete" (Williams) Smith, 88, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- Graveside services for Lucretia M. “Pete” (Williams) Smith, age 88, of Ogdensburg, NY, will be held in Ogdensburgh Cemetery in the Spring.

Mrs. Smith passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Home, Ogdensburg.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Pete is survived by a son, Robert Smith of Plattsburgh, NY; among her grandchildren is a special granddaughter, Michelle Green of Ogdensburg, NY; eight great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pete was predeceased by a son, David Smith; a grandson, David Smith and two brothers, Theodore Williams and Norman Williams.

Pete was born on May 10, 1935, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of the late Francis A. and Elizabeth M. (Gore) Williams.

She attended local schools in Ogdensburg. Pete married Robert Alton Smith on January 30, 1954, at the First Methodist Parsonage with Rev. Carlton J. Frazier officiating. He predeceased her on April 30, 1997.

She was first employed at F.W. Woolworth and Company here in Ogdensburg and later went on to work at Ashley’s Home Center in Ogdensburg for many years.
