Kelley Topping, 62, Lisbon

LISBON -- Kelley Topping age 62 of Lisbon, NY passed away Saturday morning, March 16, 2024, unexpectedly at home.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Kelley was born January 13, 1962, in East Springfield, NY to Lawrence J. Topping and Bonalynn Compton.

After high school, Kelley graduated from Sullivan County Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.

After moving to the North Country, she started work for St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services in the Temporary Assistance Department and later a Case Manager.

In 2010, she met Douglas Smith and they became engaged in 2018.

Kelley enjoyed being outdoors, riding her Ranger, four wheelers, and snowmobiles.

She loved traveling through the mountains and all of her cats.

Ms. Topping is survived by her fiancé, Douglas Smith of Lisbon, NY; her mother, Bonalynn Topping of Elmira, NY; her son, Jeffrey Gush and his wife Maggie of Elmira, NY; her brother, David Topping and his wife Ellen of Elmira, NY; a sister, Susan Topping; nieces and nephews, Abigail, Sarah, Brian, and Brianna; and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Topping.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lisbon Fire Department at 7002 County Rd 10, Lisbon, NY 13658 or the St. Lawrence Valley SPCA at 6718 SH 68, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
