Joan Logan, 87, formerly of Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- A funeral service for Joan Logan age 87, formerly of Ogdensburg, NY will be held May 17, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Davis officiating.

Visitation will be held prior from 3:00 PM until the start of the service.

Joan passed away peacefully Saturday morning, April 13, 2024 at the Angela Hospice Care Center in Livonia, MI.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Joan was born May 28, 1936, in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Rayfield and Audrey (McMartin) Rondeau.

On April 21, 1956, she married Arnold L. Logan in Ogdensburg, NY and raised three children, Debra, Butch and Linda.

In 1954, she graduated from Lisbon Central School. She attended a business college in Utica, NY for 2 years.

Mrs. Logan work for St. Lawrence County and New York State Combined Courts for 20 years in Canton. She worked in family, county, and Surrogate Courts as a Court Assistant, retiring in 1996.

Prior to working in the court system, she worked at Lisbon Central school and she taught at Ogdensburg Business School.

In November 2020, Joan moved to West Bloomfield, MI to be with her daughter Debra’s family.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, puzzles and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She loved watching the beautiful sunsets on the St Lawrence River from her home in Ogdensburg.

She regularly attended the New Life Assembly of God Church in Ogdensburg.

Mrs. Logan is survived by children, Arnold L. Logan Jr. (Danielle) of Palm Springs, CA, Debra (Peter) Stewart of West Bloomfield, MI, and Linda Logan of Ogdensburg, NY; brother, Ricky LaFlair (Marcia) of Key West, FL; five grandchildren, Alex Logan, Alison Logan, Jami-Lyn Ryan, Jennifer Stewart, and Logan Kinney; five great grandchildren, Liam, Audrey, Lilly, Gabriella, Evangeline; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased, by a brother, Martin Ray Rondeau of Albany, NY and her three brothers, Loren LaFlair of Key West, FL, Paul LaFlair of St. Louis, MO and Michael LaFlair, CA.

Memorial contributions can be made in Joan’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Save the River Upper St. Lawrence Riverkeeper.
