MASSENA -- Jack Edgar Robinson, 75, died on March 15, 2024, at his home in Bloomington, Indiana.

Jack was born on October 30, 1948, in Massena, NY to loving parents Clarence and Dorothy Robinson.

Jack graduated from Massena Central High School in 1965 and went on to pursue his associate degree at Canton ATC.

During this time, Jack was employed at Alcoa Aluminum Company. Upon leaving Alcoa, he was an apprentice at General Motors.

He was enrolled at Boces in Norwood, Norfolk where he received his Skilled Trade Journeyman Millwright papers.

After 30 years of employment at GM in Massena, Jack transferred to the Bedford Central Foundry General Motors plant. There, he enjoyed welding, fixing machines and sharing practical jokes with his work family. He retired after 48 years of continuous service for General Motors.

Jack was happily married to the love of his life, Patricia (Toth) Robinson for 50 years. They had two children, Christopher Robinson, and Lisa (Robinson) Bruner.

Jack had a passion for life that was unmatched. He was a kindhearted soul with a bright spirit that loved everyone and everything unconditionally.

Spending time in nature, gazing at the stars and nightly observations of the moon (especially that full moon) were activities that Jack enjoyed the most.

He loved traveling with his wife, making memories that will forever be cherished. They took several trips to the ocean and the mountains where they enjoyed hiking and taking in the scenery.

He was also an avid skier, golfer, and dedicated walker. Everyone knew that when Jack disappeared mid-conversation or mid-meal, he was trying to get his ‘steps’ before the hour was up.

Jack’s children were his pride and joy. He often spoke of having his “million-dollar family” being blessed with both a son and a daughter.

He was an amazing father who put everyone ahead of himself. His grandchildren, being the light of his life, were blessed with his continual presence at games, races, and school events.

His love for sports continued as he enjoyed cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers with close friends and family.

He was a member of Unity Spiritual Center, the Armed Forces, and the Elks. He was also active in the UAW and coached little league baseball and football.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence, and Dorothy (Russell) Robinson, and his nephew, Gregory Bordeleau.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, son, Chris Robinson, and daughter, Lisa (Jason) Bruner; grandchildren, Nash and Karli Bruner; twin sister, Jeanie (Jerry) Jarvo and sister, Katherine (Hugh) Parisian.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity Spiritual Center, 4001 S. Rogers St in Bloomington, Indiana, 47403, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11:30 AM.

Following the ceremony at 1:30 PM, a memorial luncheon will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 3100 S. Walnut St. in Bloomington, Indiana.
