Diane M. Lalonde, 74, Hogansburg

HOGANSBURG -- Diane M. Lalonde, 74, of Andrew Johnson Road, unexpectedly passed away Friday morning, February 16, 2024, at her home.

Diane was born in Massena on June 29, 1949, the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Larue) Shorette.

She attended schools in Massena, where she graduated from Massena High School.

Diane was a homemaker and dedicated mother to raising her sons. Family was her greatest enjoyment, especially the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She greatly enjoyed car racing, following NASCAR, going camping, and her collecting porcelain dolls.

Diane is survived by her companion of over 30 years, Gilbert Lazare; her sons, Kevin (Renee) Mere of Sanford, NC and Cory Mere of Massena; her companion’s daughters, Misty Lazare (Mike Abrunzo) of Massena and Heather and Luke Henry of Massena; her grandchildren, Breanna, Aiden, Mason, Jacob, Addison, Caleb, and Hudson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Joseph; her mother, Julia Lashomb; and a grandson, Zachary Lazare Gardner.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where friends may call on Wednesday 12-2:00 PM followed by a prayer service at 2:00 PM.

Burial will be held at a later date in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Brasher Falls.
