BRASHER FALLS – The Badenhausen Public Library, 897 Main St., will accept books for recycling May 2-4 during regular library hours.

The Friends of the Badenhausen Public Library will also hold a used book sale on May 4.

Anyone who has books that they no longer want can bring them to the library to either be recycled or to be donated for the used book sale. The library is open on Thursday, May 2 from 3:30 to 7 pm; Friday, May 3 from 9 am to 1 pm; and Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Both hard cover and paperback books can be recycled. Books for recycling should be brought in boxes or bags. No loose books will be accepted. North Country Library System will pick up the books collected for recycling on Wednesday, May 8 and will transport them to the book recycling center in Watertown.

Those bringing books are encouraged to separate out any they feel may be suitable for the Friends group used book sale. Books donated for the sale should be no more than 10 years old and in good condition. Textbooks and encyclopedias cannot be accepted for the book sale but can be recycled.

Friends of the Badenhausen Public Library hold book sales on the first Saturday of each month from 9 am to 1 pm as an on-going fund raiser. All genres of books are available with a special monthly feature, which in May will be biographies and memoirs.

Book prices are as follows: Adult Hardcover $2, Adult Paperback $1, Children's Hardcover $1, and Children's Paperback and Board Books 2/$1.
