POTSDAM -- To augment the work of the Potsdam Holiday Fund this season, the Youth Philanthropy Council at Potsdam Central School awarded a $1,000 grant to the organization to help increase the agency’s food voucher allocation for families and senior citizens in need this holiday season.
Youth Philanthropy Council is a program of the Northern New York Community Foundation. Each year, the Potsdam Holiday Fund provides food, as well as new toys, clothing, boots and other winter attire to residents in St. Lawrence County.
In June, the Youth Philanthropy Council at Potsdam awarded $10,000 in total grant funding to support the work of non-profit organizations in St. Lawrence, Jefferson and Lewis counties.
