POTSDAM – Three people from Norfolk were charged, all with felonies, in a case of theft investigated by New York State Police.

Jeremy J. Monroe, 32, had been arrested on May 18, charged with petit larceny, troopers said.

He was subsequently charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor.

He was released in his own recognizance.

In an earlier case, Monroe had been charged in February 2013 with possession of stolen property.

On May 29, Peter J. Shantie, 34, Norfolk, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property valued in excess of $1,000, a felony, sixth-degree conspiracy and petit larceny, both misdemeanors. He was held on $2,500 bail, according to state police.

Shantie has been accused by police of shoplifting before.

On May 30, Alexis N. Gondosch, 24, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property valued in excess of $1,000.

She was issued an appearance ticket.
