MASSENA -- Massena Central High School students participated in a field trip to the Tewa'araton Lacrosse Festival recently.
More than 90 players from the Massena boys' and girls' varsity and modified teams went to the Anowarakowa Arena on Cornwall Island, Ontario to take part in the third annual festival.
This festival is put on each year by the Native North American Traveling College and the purpose to educate young people on the cultural importance of the game and to learn about the history of lacrosse.
