MASSENA -- A rash of burglaries and thefts have Massena police warning residents to keep their garages, sheds and vehicles locked.
“We advise village citizens to lock vehicles and outer sheds, garages,” Chief Adam Love said. “We’re having an increase of burglaries from outer buildings and larcenies from vehicles.”
He said there have been nine reports in three weeks of burglaries from garages and sheds. He said they receive daily reports of larcenies from unlocked vehicles.
The incidents have not been isolated to any specific areas of town.
“It’s village-wide,” Love said. “If anybody hears anything suspicious or sees anything suspicious, please call us” at 769-3577.
